There are theoretical Democrats who could win pretty much any state south of the Ohio. Still. Assuming this environment of hyper-polarization is a temporary thing.
If Trump wins re-election and further unravels into complete parody, leading to utter disillusionment, there's another massive financial crisis and recession, Russia annexes Ukraine without a peep from Trump, the GOP trots out Mike Pence as the 2024 nominee who continues to apologize for Trump, and a Doug Jones-esque southern moderate captures the Democratic nomination...
Also coal completely dies during Trump's second term...
Such a candidate would have zero chance in Idaho, Wyoming, and Oklahoma, but West Virginia could go Democrat.
