What of digital clocks?

One of three things:

1- They break and show no time.  At this point it is less a clock and more a paperweight.

2- They reset to 12:00 and start keeping time from there.  In this case it is not stopped but inaccurate.

3- They just show 12:00 all the time, usually flashing.  In this case it is stopped and right twice a day.

And, in a sad and pathetic attempt to be on topic, the Republicans are trying to run to the middle with teh convention, which is probably a good thing in a highly polarized nation.  By having peopel from other areas of the political spectrum come in and endorse Bush it makes him more appealing to middle of the road voters.

The far left line up of the democrats is not going ot help them with teh centrists.
