FWIW, I just was texting someone and heard an interesting inside anecdote about this in relation to the party. I'm not even going to share its content because it's basically pedestrian banter, but someone with Washington ties told my friend that the mood changed over the weekend and that some people at the RNC (lower level staffers, no names I've ever heard) were suddenly talking about the GOP actually winning. My friend had assumed that it was just extreme overreaction to some vague polls.

It was like 2-3 questions I think, about 3-4 minutes. There wasn't really much to cover though since she had already gotten the point across that nobody knows anything so it would be irresponsible to comment further. Bottom line, all eyes are on Comey now.

No, she has nothing to say. She wants this to burn itself out as quickly as possible. I thought "Comey was a wonderful and tough public servant." That is what Tim Kaine says at least. She didn't want to face that or any of the other hundreds of questions that could've been asked.

Dude what is there to say? This is a new development with contradicting info flying left and right. She's not going to comment on loose reports that haven't been substantially backed up yet. Comey needs to provide more information immediately.

How about she talks about what she thinks they are investigating her for and get ahead of whatever is about to come out? How about she speaks candidly for once and promises to cooperate fully while still asking voters to put their trust in her? How about she apologizes to Donald Trump for attacking him about the possibility of structural corruption in our election process after allowing her surrogates and staffers to throw out conspiracy theories at every sign of trouble?

I've been very active actually this cycle between my internships, attending rallies, protests, going door to door for the RPOF and with AFP, etc. But even if I did stay home and trolled low hanging fruit like you, I'd say that Hillary is doing good enough a job getting him elected anyway.

Funny, because the constant 24/7 media assault on Trump over the last month turned about 5,000 people out to a rural cow field here in Tallahassee for Trump. I think a couple hundred showed up at the FSU Student Union to see Tim Kaine today.

When you have to cite crowd size to show that your winning, your most likely are losing.  Tell that to Bernie, McGovern, Mondale and so many others over the years.  Sad to see you resort to doing this, you are smarter than this.

The people who go to Trump rallies don't go to Rubio for Senate or Dunn for Congress rallies. They don't follow politics much at all. Some have never even voted. This is an entirely different event underway and you know it is real living in Arksansas of all places (too bad Arkansas ain't a swing state).

I'm not sure why you say that. I was never one of the people who thought she was inevitable in the general or going to win in a massive historic landslide. In fact, I criticized the latter just as much as I criticized the doomsayers. Funnily enough, the doomsayers/massive landslide talk was sometimes the same exact people, continually getting whiplash depending upon what the polls of the day said.

I wouldn't really say I'm gloomy, btw. No doubt this story hurts, but I'm actually more troubled by the Democratic reaction to it than the story itself. "GIVE US MORE ABUSE COMEY (R)! DO IT NOW!!!!" I stand by my statement about the media and Hillary's refusal to take them on, but I've been saying that since 2014, it's just particularly relevant now. I do think she will still win, just based off all the evidence/data and the fact that I'm skeptical the media is going to go another 10 days without at least one avalanche of negative Trump coverage, which will make this seem like a distant memory. But we'll see.

Yet they got the laptop about 4 to 5 weeks ago, why would the Agents not say anything until now.  They searched the thing as soon as they got it.

If you want to keep promoting this "three emails" myth, please provide a plausible scenario where Huma only emailed Hillary THREE TIMES IN FOUR YEARS while they worked at the State Department.  C'mon people.

It also says that the FBI will at most have to search 10s of those.

It is entirely possible that they seized the laptops, copied its contents onto another hard drive (I believe this is what they usually do) then rank the evidence by priority. They have had these for weeks, but they very well might have not started looking into his belongings until now.
