The Republican electorate was never going to nominate a brown man with Indian heritage

Not in 2016 with Jindal, not in 2024 with Haley

Indians currently have a majority of the non Trump support in the Republican primary.

Haley has 12% nationally, basically tied with DeSantis

You can word it anyway you like to make Haley look more popular. But Trump has 60% support, having a majority of 40% is worth anything

There's also Ramaswamy. As for 2016, Carson at one point was tied for first with Trump.
