Newt is very smart. 

Remember that in 1994 he managed to defacto make the midterm elections about Bill Clinton and frankly kicked the %@#! out of Slick Willie.

The original "Contract with America" that the GOP ran on in 1994 was also great government, and was in large measure responsible for renewing the Reagan boom economically.

As for running for president?

The Yukka mountain nuclear waste depository is less toxic politically than Newt.

I like Newt,

I respect Newt.

Newt's IQ is higher than the combined IQ of about 1/3rd of the current House of Representatives...
