I do not really have an opinion because the same people who make Veterans' Day jingoist seem to be the ones who do the same to every other military-related holiday, function, or reference. Some folks are just really enthusiastic about bundling fervent nationalism, Christianity, military service, and obedience to (the proper!) authorities together. Images like that show up regardless of whether an anniversary is occurring.
