I'd like to see Raskin run for this seat, though I would understand if his health was a larger priority right now. I just saw he announced his cancer is in remission, so that's great news. Alsobrooks would be a good candidate as well.

Also, any bets on the first idiot pundit to suggest that Hogan would make this race anything other than Safe D?

Do random tweets count?

No chance he wins the general. Much like Phil Scott and Vermont, voters seem to understand the difference between having a Republican Governor and sending a Republican to DC as your Senator/Congressperson.

He was wise to not run for President, but this won't go much better.

He's also now saying he won't vote for Biden or Trump.

Taking this opportunity (and every other opportunity that arises) to remind folks that anti-Trump Republicans are almost exclusively comprised of Bush and Reagan Republicans...of course it's not surprising that they're not actually "moderate", they're just nicer in tone.

I believe that he used it by accident, but I definitely don't believe he doesn't know what it means. He used the wrong word, but it still exists in his brain. That's not a fake word that you just make up on the spot when you intend to use a different word, like "irregardless" or "half-hazard" or something.

Either way, I doubt this has any impact on the primary and it probably won't be a news story in a week.

Endorsements usually don't mean much to actual voters, but have we ever seen an entire party apparatus back one candidate so hard when another candidate who is an incumbent Congressman is also running? Feels like the deck is stacked against Trone at this point.

We had another example two states over until yesterday.

It would also be asshaty of Trone to not give Alsobrooks a decent chunk of money if he looses. Not saying he has to open the vaults but he’d look like a sore loser if he keeps his wallet closed.

I think she'll be fine without a ton of support from him specifically, but I really appreciate the word "asshaty"
