Didn't watch the debate, but seeing KaiserDave's comments made me really hate Eric Adams. If it comes down to him and Yang, NY is screwed. I would prefer Yang if only to not have a Giuliani/Bloomberg Republican as Mayor.

I'm not exactly sure why we can't be opposed to both Adams and Yang and view them both as dangerous and/or unqualified candidates? I don't understand why it has to be one or the other. Regardless of how you feel about other candidates in the race, if you're on the left, there's plenty of reason to feel nervous about both of them.

Watching Yang and Adams duke it out for most evil candidate in this race has been so bizarre. I think Yang takes the cake here for saying that all? most? a majority of? homeless people are mentally ill. That's incredible.

I think at this point with Wiley in 2nd, it will be crucial to see who Stringer/Yang/Garcia's coalition got behind as their next preferences. Really the only way Adams can lose at this point is if there was an extreme anti-Adams coalition amongst the other candidates' voters.

Bloomberg News report that of the absentee ballots returned to the Board of Elections by Tuesday, 46% came from state Assembly districts that Adams won, followed by 31% from districts Garcia won.

What a self-absorbed weirdo. My main criticism of Yang was that he didn't seem interested in actually governing and instead was using the Mayor's office as a launching pad for higher office. Adams seems to be doing exactly the same thing. I can see him launching a vanity Presidential run in 2028 just like BDB did last year. The one thing I was willing to give him credit for was that he had NY roots and seemed to care about the city despite the many areas where I disagreed with him. Now I'm not so sure I can give him as much credit. We'll see how he actually governs.

Let's not rule out that Wiley could make it into the final round given how close Round 10 is. Any idea where the rest of the absentees are coming from? I saw someone on Twitter say Manhattan, where Garcia won.
