Ghostwhite probably has to open the voting Booth.

The Constitution is worded as to appear that a recalled official can't open that Booth.

Lets take a look at the constitution though, because if the one law is still the same, we could have a Lt. Governor to swear in, and they can be in charge of the election, thus keeping federal officials out.

I just checked the Booth, from Februrary, and you had the 2nd highest vote total. You're the One!

He can't if he resigned. It'd be funny if you end up unopposed in this recall election. I wonder if a Governor has been reclled before in this game.

If I'm interpreting the Constitution correctly, since the recall vote is "to be brought before the electorate in an immediate vote", then it would run from Tuesday to Friday, with the only question being an up-or-down vote on the Governor. An election to replace him would presumably follow. Am I correct?

Who would open the booth if the governor were recalled though? It should all be done at once.

After the recall we can open up a constitutional convention, fixing things with the input of veterans and bringing forth new ideas.

No. Here is the problem. The winner of the last Lt. Governor election swore in, than resigned. The only thing that can happen now is the Governor can appoint a new Lt. Governor, UPON the recomendation of the Assembly. So, I'm guessing once the new Assembly has been sworn in, they can pick a new Lt. Governor, and the Governor can approve it.

Technically, the Northeast does not have a Governor right now. He has been forcefully removed from office.

He's Governor until he is put to a recall vote, which means he should just appoint you LT. Governor and resign to save us all the trouble, time, and disgrace. He has no chance.

Yes, it is constamatutiounal. Its just very berry illegal to have anyone OTHER than the regions Chief Executives opening a booth. Again, I suggest that the Assembly decide on a candidate for Lt. Governor, ASAP, and present it to the Governor. OR, the Governor could just find someone to be CJO.

Governor Ghost_white appointed me as the region's Lt. Governor, but I think we should just recommend a CJO for now.

Was it via an Assembly recomendation?

We recommended someone awhile back but he doesn't have to do what we say.

The assembly should sue Ghostwhite for illegally appointing a public officer.

Really we need to just figure things out. We are all new and the only veterans here are new to the region. No one else is really helping.

We were in just as bad of one, probably worse, before the recall movement. If not for homelycooking, any effort to clean this region up would have died when Polnut left. Credit goes to whom credit is due. Smiley

Ghostwhite can beat the recall and still be impeached. Neither is necessary if he just gets active. Its not even about ideology or personality but activity. Its become more and more apparent over time that we have a plethora of problems to fix. We need an executive to do that.

Jake Matthews is Lieutenant Governor and the Recall Amendment is in the Constitution.

We don't have a CJO because our Governor is ing useless. We also have Assembly vacancies.  According to the Wiki, a special election should be announced.

Well, if you want to remove the Governor, he or she should be impeached by a two-thirds vote of the Assembly, not by a recall that has no constitutional basis.   See Article IV, Section ix of the New Northeast Constitution.

We came prepared for this. If the Governor will just do his job, none of this will be necessary.

He just needs to keep it up, he exists now. If he goes back to inactivity he will likely be impeached.

The people spoke. A majority voted to recall the inactive Governor. They may still have the office but at least they will be kept on their toes. Let's see if Ghostwhite can redeem himself.
