of course not. as a general rule liberals almost always think this. i think you should ask yourself why that is. although the responses on this thread are more telling than usual. anyway, there hasn't been any significant re-alignment in either party yet. the main difference is that the republican coalition seem to be gradually imploding. so the post-2008 gop may be somewhat 'better' in a 'worse is better' sense for right-wingers and nationalists. particularly as it becomes obvious to people that 'libertarianism' and/or 'focusing on fiscal issues' is not only an electoral dead end (since almost nobody wants to cut programs that they use or really cares about say, 'the deficit') but ideologically bankrupt...
