Winning this would be great on multiple levels:
1. If we win Wisconsin we've likely held the Senate.
2. First Lesbian Senator; a great first for the LBGT crowd.
On your second point, while it's true that she'd be the first lesbian senator, let us also keep in mind that Baldwin is not that attractive so it wouldn't be "hot" per se. Not like if it were a lesbian who looked like Zooey Deschanel. Still, definitey a great first for the LBGT community.
Straight male horndogs do not constitute 'the LGBT crowd'.
