I think it stands for Black and Indigenous People of Colour? I suppose just some long winded way to say Blacks and Native Americans, probably to draw a distinction between them and Asians and Hispanics for some reason
Which makes even less sense because if I'm not mistaken Hispanic people are the most obese ethnic group in America...
BIPOC includes Hispanics and Asians; it just de-emphasizes them for whatever reason.
LGBT is a terrible acronym, so terrible that someone decided to design a similar acronym for race. What a joke. Hope it goes the way of zhe and not the way of peoplekind
