The Finns have announced that they and DPP have been accepted to ECR.

The ECR Group have announced that they currently have 55 members, which makes it the fourth largest group, and that more are on its way. They have not made an official announcement of who the new members are yet, but according to media reports it is DF/DPP, the Finns Party, Die Familien-Partei, ANEL and the two Slovakian one-MEP parties OĽaNO and NOVA. Bulgaria without Censorship has been reported as potential members, while the vote on accepting AfD has been postponed; apparently Bernd Lucke has said that it's ECR or no group. The reports about internal disagreements in the party continue with some of the liberal founding members threatening to quit, while others want the party to join EFD instead of ECR. However, the latter group might become more silent as it seems more and more difficult for the EFD to be able to re-form a group.
Any link to that? It will be quite a triumph for DPP if they are accepted into ECR.

The Portuguese Earth Party MPT is joining the ALDE group. I would've guessed Greens or EPP as they are described as Green conservatist or agrarian. But there has been rumours that the Latvian Union of Farmers and Greens could end up in ALDE as well so I guess they have been able to present these parties a good package. ALDE is of course generally greener than the EPP, so I guess it's not that weird.
MPT really is a weird party... - but I guess that it's just me having a hard time grasping the concept of rightwing greens!
