The CO legislature is split: 18R/17D in the senate and 34D/31R in the house, with all Republicans to the right of all Democrats.  Hickenlooper won (by more than expected) and Gardner won (roughly by the polling margin).  Obama won by just slightly more than his nationwide margin both times.  That's a textbook example of a swing state.

BTW any explanation for why it was the state house that flipped narrowly GOP in 2010 but the state senate instead in 2014?
