Late deciders most certainly seem to have effected the primaries. I didn't vote for Biden until after he placed second in Nevada and it seems like a lot of other people waited until he showed some sign of life before they committed to him.

That would make any result but a contested convention quite difficult.

Indeed. I should have mentioned that those were just the numbers for Super Tuesday. If you add in the already decided races to the polling estimate you get

Sanders 485
Biden 468
Bloomberg 268
Warren 243

Still quite close and enough for a contested convention.
