Considering that most people chose to live somewhere, whether subconsciously or openly, based on class, ethnicity, race and religion, I wouldn't be too embarrassed. It's better than deciding to live somewhere because there's less "crime" aka less browns.

Everybody does this to an extent. I'm probably trying to hard to play devil's advocate.

No one wants to address my devil's advocate post? I'm sure that if two areas were totally equal in all areas except voting patterns you would rather move to the area that more closely fit your politics.

That isn't what normal, rational people do, though.  At least BRTD even admitted as much in the first post.
People aren't normal and they certainly aren't rational.

Plenty of people complain about the politics of their state and how they would prefer to live somewhere where people share their views. It's not strange. It's only strange in this case because it is based off of some obscure data and because BRTD makes every action seem sociopathic.
