Ryan was at Senor's Manhattan apartment for an MSM meet-n'-greet. Heinze debunks a few Biden myths.

I think we're at the point where Walker should be considered top-five at a minimum in any GOP power rankings.

Agreed, but the polls don't reflect that yet.

Among Pubs, Ryan is seen most favorably: 69/12, while 40/32 amongst the general electorate.

It would be hilarious if Perry announced this early. If that is indeed what he's planning to do next week, could it cause a domino effect?

He'd announce that he was retiring, obviously wouldn't announce for President this early. More open moves will be made next year- for instance campaigning and/or fundraising for chosen candidates, like Romney & Co did last cycle.

Here's Jindal on immigration. Doesn't like the Senate bill, but supports eventual legalization contingent upon a whole bunch of things which the Dems would never agree to. So he and perhaps Walker will be the most hawkish on immigration, if not exactly hawks' ideal candidate.

Paul apparently has an... interesting staffer, who ghostwrote his book.

Rubio was warned by his own staff on immigration. Now he's #5 in Iowa and seen his national numbers nearly chopped in half.

Pew on Pub favorability: Ryan leads the pack easily, much more favorable among TP than Establishment.

Ryan has competition for Ways & Means, but he can probably have it if he wants it. IIRC read something last year about him deciding by the end of this year on that.
