Naso spoiling Kindergarten Cop sent the previous edition into a downward spiral of epic fail.

If only San Francisco teachers were allowed to pack heat. They're the ones who need it. Wink

Good god.  Two-a-days and you still have time to read threads from over two years ago?

Isn't that the point of the listening thread? To remind people of songs and listen to them?

Also, Lennon's #9 Dream > REM.

Beg to differ

REM's is better than A-Ha's crappy version, but the vocals just aren't light and high-pitched enough to work with the song.

And we're still discussing/debating in the Goldmine because...?

Because this is the Straight-to-DVD Christmas Special curiously released in August.

I think this should be the last Goldmine.  We should start a new series.  An 8th sequel is bad taste IMO.

Phil, weren't you clamoring about how debate doesn't belong in the Goldmine a few pages ago?

So what? I'm allowed to be a hypocrite! Jeeze.

Me allowing you to be a hypocrite would be very hypocritical of me.

"Senator Obama will be in Sacramento this weekend campaigning, come out and fight for change!"

"Senator Obama's poll numbers have risen. He now has a 6 point lead according to Gallup. Volunteer locally to help us bring change and hope to America."

"John McCain is spreading lies. Go to Fightthesmears.com to join Barack against the politics of the past."

"Senator Obama just farted. Come join him in his fight for change!"

Topic: Should the Republicans have nominated a homeless man?

You have a good chance of getting a veteran who understands military issues too.

I smell a set-up...I starting to think that NONE of those mentioned to be gathering in Dayton is the VP pick!

You're right. While they're there, a portal to Alaska will open, and Sarah Palin will step through flanked by angels of the Lord to accept her rightful place by John McCain's side.

This is twice as funny now that McCain actually selected Palin.

I think in 1992 foreign policy wasn't as important as it is in 2008.  Of course, I wasn't around, but that's my thought.

Persian Gulf wtf is dat?

One of the many reasons I want John McCain is the fact that even though I am 19 years old...I am very set in my ways for my age...my mother told me a few years ago that I "went from being a 13 year old boy to a 40 year old man".

I dislike immature youthful "trendiness" and I just feel more comfortable thinking that a guy who was my age in the 1950s is President of the United States in the 2010s. At a time when our nation is so young, trendy and hip...I think having the oldest conservative President in history would be a great idea.

I'd love to be 28 years old and have a current President who ran when I was 12 years old...and who was my age 50 years before.

Thinking of an Obama America to me just gives off this trendy, "green", future-like new decade that comes off so "Utopian" to me.

For hating trends and fads, why does he align himself with 80s trends and fads?

I'll have to wait to see the polling, but I have to admit that I see the potential.  In theory, McCain could have just gotten 33-35% of the Democratic base.  We'll see in about a fortnight.

This is only funny because Lief put it in the Goldmine.

Mike Naso has posted some funny stuff, but this wasn't his best work.

I love that he has an election dream every single week.

Walter's a funny guy and I enjoy reading most of his posts, but I have agree that his sarcastic OMG OBAMA IS GOING TO WIN KANSAS jokes lost their luster at least two months ago.  I don't even need to read his posts in that board to know what he said.

Otherwise, he's a great asset to this board.  Much greater than anybody who attacks him.

If I ever find myself with millions of dollars of extra cash, I'd have Naso create a featured film just to see what it would be like.

Tough to say. Disney makes entertaining films...but those Lifetime depressing feminine drama films sometimes have the hottest underwear and/or sex scenes....many a time flipping channels at 10:44am on a sick day from school as a young teen when a Lifetime movie would shoot my temperature up.

Disgusting, but it caused me to laugh my ass off.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/10/08/nebraska.safe.haven/index.html

Basically, Nebraska has a "safe haven" law that allows parents to abandon their children at a hospital without being prosecuted.  This is designed as a last resort effort to prevent harm to the child by either not being born in the hospital or otherwise...

The problem is that, unlike every other state, Nebraska does not give an age limit.  Instead, the law simply says "child" whereas most other states have a 72 hour window or up to 1 year in North Dakota.

13 of 17 children that have been abandoned since the law took effect in the state have been over the age of 10.

Last week a parent drove their 14 year old daughter across state lines and dumped her off at a University hospital.

I'm pretty floored by this.

Keep in mind that BRTD has a wholly different definition of emo from the rest of mainstream society.

And that if I had my way, we'd have special police units to enforce the laws against retarded "fake emo" haircuts. Patrols would swarm the streets, and anyone with hair over one eye would be tasered, dragged to a facility, and had their head forcibly shaved.

Too bad BRTD isn't Kim Jong Il's heir to North Korea.  I'd love to see him run the country.

BRTD running a country as a dictator and a feature-length film directed by Mike Naso.  Those are two things I'd like to see.
