How difficult would it be to IP check the entire forum?

The moderator of any board you make a post on can see your IP (but only that mod). Dave, as admin, can see all of them. Checking the entire forum would take forever as we're talking of thousands of accounts and over six years of posts. But there's no reason why the entire 'active' parts of the forum, so to speak, can't be checked relatively quickly.

I imagine moderators of a group of high activity boards like Alcon and SuperSoulty would be able to do IP check whoever they want.  Is there really anybody on this board that hasn't made at least one post in Forum Community, US General, Political Debate, or Off Topic?

Interesting.  Well, I doubt such things get us anywhere as I imagine most troll puppeteers would be fans of proxy IPs as well.  This just happened to be a special case.

None of this has changed my opinion of him. I suspect he was doing it as a bit of a joke. Some of those far-right posters annoyed me a lot and I'd rather he didn't create any of them, but the fact remains that his actual account is still one of the most respectful and mature accounts on here. He's infinitely better than some of the petulant accounts out there (most of whom have revelled in this news).

My, you're an ignorant tool. The guy created these accounts to parody and discredit YOU. People who share YOUR views. Not mine. You. He doesn't want people who think like you to get taken seriously by others so he makes far-right joke accounts that are beyond stupid and often just delusional in an attempt to make YOU look bad. Maybe you deserve it, though, since you're all too willing to bend over and take it.

It's not like everyone didn't already know that Coburn was a sock account.  The fact that it was JSojourner the whole time only makes it more tolerable.
