A hackneyed interpretation that seems to conflate his four-year non-stop narcissistic punching down ego rants that utterly demeaned the office of the presidency, as if they were the Lincoln-Douglas debates or FDR's Fireside Chats. But yes, an interpretation nonetheless.
Social media is highly important for communication in this era; Obama and Trump together helped shape how politicians see and use this medium.
If Trump's use of Twitter was so "transformative" why is Biden so successful with a FAR different method and frequency of using it? If it was so "transformative", every one of his predecessors would ape his use of Twitter (which of course goes IMMENSELY beyond merely having and using an account), as would every other politician. However, Trump's "unique" Twitter rant as policy statement method appears not to survive his presidency. And thank God.
