I'll take America the Beautiful.
Also My Country Tis of Thee is the worst option and easily the worst "American" patriotic song.
And why's that
It would carry the same tune of the anthem of our previous colonial oppressors.
Also could someone explain the Manifest Destiny innuendos in ATB? I'm not seeing it.
The second verse is pretty direct:
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!
