Nina Simone is the least "Rock and Roll" performer nominated this year. Her music is mostly jazz and blues, with a pinch of soul.
She was also an activist, earning pennies preaching about the injustice of Jim Crow laws (In contrast to Green Day, who got rich from whinning about suburbia). Elton John named his piano after her, and she is quite respeted by rockers of the '60's and '70's.
What does Atlas think of the proto-SJW? (Before SJWs were terrible.)
