Probably PES (UK Labour) but possibly Greens if it looks like they have a chance of winning a seat.

I wonder how many Irish voters who vote for Fianna Fáil think they're voting "Liberal"?

I think its really ridiculous that people in the UK are the only Europeans that cannot choose EPP.  Is there not some way to form a Euro-only party in the UK that is EPP-aligned so the 8 people who care could vote their conscience? Smiley

There's no reason why not; indeed it looks like these people (whoever they are [1]) may be planning on doing exactly that.  But I think they'd get a derisory share of the vote, as the Pro-Euro Conservatives did in 1999.  There simply isn't much of a market in the UK for right-wing pro-Europeanism, and these days most of what there is of one is catered for by the Lib Dems.

[1] Trawling a bit more, it looks like John Stevens may be involved.  He was a Tory MEP who left the party, was one of the people involved in the aforementioned Pro-Euro Conservative Party, was a Lib Dem for a time, and stood in Buckingham (the Speaker's seat, and Nigel Farage was also standing, so a highly abnormal contest) at the last election for the "Buckinghamshire Campaign for Democracy", where he somehow came second (beating Farage Smiley ) with over 20% of the vote, presumably by sweeping up the votes of people who don't like either John Bercow or Nigel Farage.

EDIT: I've now found their entry in the Register of Political Parties.  Their leader is indeed John Stevens.  Their Nominating Officer is Dirk Hazell, who stood as a Lib Dem in Chelsea & Fulham in 2010.  Their Treasurer is Marie-Louise Rossi, who stood as a Lib Dem in Cities of London & Westminster in 2005 and was "Parliamentary Spokesperson" for the Lib Dems in Buckingham (again) in 2010 (where they didn't actually field a candidate because it was the Speaker's seat).
