If a broadcast network made available for purchase unedited DVDs of their election night coverage from 1952-2008 and you could only buy one, Which year would you get?

I vote for 1976. It was close and It'd be interesting to see an election where the Democrat wins in the south and the Republican wins in New England.

This is gold for a few elections. I wish it had more on the primaries for each of these campaigns, but it is very interesting.

Thanks for this link Cheesy

He's a Republican. He wants to see Ronnie win 49 states. I don't blame him. I'd like to see 1964 and Watch LBJ win 44 states

I'd also be willing to buy 1968 and 1976, just to see the suspense. The ones I'd least be willing to buy are 2000, 2004, 1984, 1988, and 1980 in that order.

I don't like watching Republicans win anymore then you do. But 1980 would be interesting since everyone thought it would be close and then Carter got blown out.

Is there a place to buy these dvds?

Sadly not that I know of.

How come 1948 isn't an option in this poll? If there is one for that year (not sure if there is since I don't know if they broadcast the results on TV yet or not), I'd love to see it. Imagine all the reporters thinking Dewey will win only to see Truman pull off a stunning upset.

I wasn't sure how much TV was around in 1948. Everything I've read about that election night talked about radio. But I'd buy those CD's.

But why the hell is there only one option for this poll ?

I'd probably buy most of them.

I was curious to see which one you'd want more.
