Uhm, I always sorta assumed the 'Third way' referred (or more correctly: could also be seen as a reference to) to:

1. Classical Socialism/Orthodox Marxism
2. Revisionism/20th Century Social-Democracy
3. Blair's brand of Social-Democracy

It certainly was used in that way by certain opinion-makers over here.
