Spanish Americans Toss Up/Leans Democratic Party
If you're referring to Spanish as in people from Spain, I'd have to guess lean republican instead of lean democrat. At least with my family, I'm spanish, and other spanish families Ive met seem to vote more with republicans and are more likely to assimilate than other hispanic groups.
In my opinion Spanish people are more like non-hispanic white voters than hispanic ones, but that's just what I've witnessed from my family.
You're probably right. I was thinking that since New Mexico is the state with the highest percentage of Americans that identify as Spanish, and is usually a state that is a toss up or leans democratic, that it would have been a good indicator of how Spanish Americans vote in other states.

. However, I think Spanish in america lean democratic. lots of socialdemocrats went to the USA... and a majority of conservative people (PP voters) who went to the USA would vote Democrat, I guess. There are probably lots of blue dogs from Spain.
