In Rheinland-Pfalz, a traffic-light coalition is also another viable option. Beck has a good relationship with FDP.

If Wowereit goes for a SPD-Left-Pirate coalition, can this hurt him in prospects for a Chancellorship candidacy in West Germany because this will show that he prefers alliances with radicals than with long-time SPD partners, although this can help with anti-establishment voters? In federal polls, I can see also a Pirate wave taking voters from Greens and Left.

Did Wowereit try a SPD-Linke-Pirate coalition. It would be a very good agreement.
