From the view of the forum being a nation and these people representing us as a nation to these countries.

Canada----------A cushy, not very important posting, good for an old timer as a thank you present. KEmperor.
USA---------------The big time, but even though it's a very respected posting, you can't actually do anything, because there is no chance of the US government listening to you. Perfect for a good guy who deserves something special, but should never be given the opportunity to get his way. Bono.
Mexico------------The most important issue between the forum and mexico is clearly the japanese-loving, slightly mad, murderous chicken, who has been quiet lately. Because he also shares a stong interest in Japan, although maybe in more civilised areas of study, and because he has also not been terribly active, this posting goes to MichaelZ.
Cuba--------------Someone who can party and won't just bag Cuba all the time, but also not someone who loves Castro and will never criticise Cuba's governance. Someone who can live it up, but is able to be serious when needed, too. Nation.
Venezuala--------Needs to be someone with a good understanding of Latin American politics, and who can cut through the bravado of Chavez to hopefully get some good discussions going, and who can epress our views clearly whilst hearing those of Venezuala. Someone who is no-nonsense and intelligent, and won't put up with any front beyond what is necessary for the relationship. ag.
Colombia---------Has to be committed to the view of Atlasians on the issue of drugs, but not too hardline. Someone who wants to work to eradicate the problem, but not in the way the USA attempts to do so. Basically, someone who is concillatory on this issue and others, but isn't a pushover and does take a stance on issues. I have no idea who that could be on this forum. Seriously, as if we have anyone like that...Cheesy. Or we could just give it to ilikeverin. He speaks Spanish and I like him, so I wanted to fit him in somewhere Smiley
Peru-------------Someone stubborn, like a llama, who is willing to consider new ideas but generally tends to go back to their old ways after a while. Someone peripheral who can be interesting and important on occasions, but generally just sits in the back row making noises everyone chooses to ignore, not out of dislike somuch as disinterest. hughento Cheesy
Brazil-------------A person who embraces fun but not so much accountability and openness. Beyond the surface there are problems but nobody chooses to look there, because the surface is so distracting. With natural beauty and a partying attitude, but a sometimes troubled core, it goes to BossTweed, who I still call Miami in my head.
Argentina--------The land of Silver needs someone flashy, with passion. But it also needs to be someone who can sustain cracks in the veneer, even if they are reasonably common. Someone who used to be a lot of fun, vibrant, rich and carefree, and still is in some areas, but has flirted with dangerous political ideals like moderate republicanism, and has now settled down into a more docile, but still interesting, life. It helps that he's silver-haired. angus.
South Africa------Someone who thinks Mbeki is a tool, and that whilst South Africa is interesting, it's troubles are very significant and need to be dealt with. Someone who cares about Africa (at least a bit more then everyone else) and is willing to work towards solutions, and has strong convictions, which will be necessary to cope with people like Zuma and Mbeki. Someone sligtly mad with political views that aren't really taken seriously by anyone but sound nice, and all. LewisTrondheim
Nigeria----------I really only included this one, and Liberia, because I felt guilty about the lack of African nations. In the spirit of affirmative action, someone who had the misfortune of being born and raised a southerner, even though they are equal human beings and deserve the same rights, someone who has had to deal with that stigma for their whole lives. Some might say it isn't fair to promote them to this position just because of where they are from and their accent, but it's those same people who make anti-southerner jokes and should be ignored. In the spirit of advancing these people and making them more worldly, one person at a time, Harry gets this postion.
Liberia-------See above. Josh22
Spain--------He's a pain, (yeah I know that's awful, but I couldn't think of anything better, and I don't really give a shi'ite about Spain, so it's a good chance to offload this guy) and he doesn't like Mexicans. CARLHAYDEN.
France------Someone everyone thinks is gay, but really, he's just very girly. Well, actually, he's a she, and is straight. Following in the Frenchmen's (and women's) footsteps of Liberty, fraternity (or sorority) and egality (or hergality...it's actually originally hegalitie, but the french don't pronounce the 'h' in this kind of situation so it was mistranslated), this position goes to a women who is in love, and will fit perfectly into Paris, considering she is a suburban republican from New Jersey. Rin-Chan.
UK-----------Because he can't drive, probably doesn't bathe enough and can't play cricket, and because he actually knows who the queen is, (and because he is very knowledgeable on international issues and is serious and intelligent enough for one of our most important relationships, although that's secondary to his standard requirement funny english surname (although it would be better if it were longer)) Colin Wixted.
Ireland-----------Everyone laughs at him even when something is serious, and deserves respect, interest and thought, like a beer famine or a revolution or something. Someone who nobody ever takes seriously and sees as a quaint little person suited to a charming but terribly backwards place, even if it's not backwards anymore. Someone who can meet the stereotype, because when it comes to Irealnd, no matter what else happens, all that really matters is the love of guiness, mashed potato, and red hair; or in his case, Bush, the Republican Party, and red hair. Mike Naso to be sure to be sure.
Germany----------A fascist who cares; listens to country music and is in touch with modern technology and ancient skills. Someone who thinks he is better then everyone and can make everyone do what he wants, but does it with a smile and often gets his way. Alcon.
Italy-------------Deep down, nobody really likes Italy. Sure, they like the food, they like the art, they like the countryside, they like the cars and the fashion. They might even like Italians. But nobody really likes Italy, except Italians. Just like nobody really likes this guy, who does happen to like Italy, because he's Italian. Keystone Phil.
Russia----------An arrogant, pushy guy who likes to argue with everyone. Has a lot of gas and problems with body odour. A major pollutant, and someone who could would get deep into the Russian psyche so well he'd be likely to switch to the other side and worjk as a spy against us. Someone who has shown absolutely no loyalty to us and deserves to end up in the hellhole that is Moscow. kljackson.

Well Hugh, you're back to your old ways.

I have lived along the border most of my life, and have friends on both sides.  I don't dislike hispanics, Mexican or otherwise.

I do believe that border security should be maintained and that illegal crossers should be deported.

It seems to be an article of faith on the left (and yes Hugh, you are definitely on the left), that anyone who favors enforcing laws on the books is ipso facto a bigot.
