Fascist is the same as communist in practice. Both oppressed and controlled their people and failed miserably at creating a long term efficient government.

You're right about that. However, fascism (at least in Nazi Germany) had an element of racism to it as well.

Very true, however the Communists, at least in Russia, also engaged in genocide.
