I thought the tea party hated Scott Brown since he became Mr. Moderate.

They don't really hate him, but they're not as energized as they once were for him.

For the question, I'd say Romney or Thune. Maybe Daniels.

That's a good pick as well.

If by some miracle Palin won the nomination, her pick should be a very experienced and very competent Senator.

Her best choices are:
Kay Baily Huchinson
Lamar Alexander
Orrin Hatch
or
Gov Jeb Bush

Hutchison-Pro-abortion. A lot of pro-lifers won't vote.
Alexander-Good pick, but a little on the old side.
Hatch-Mormon
Bush-Toxic due to his last name

Orrin Hatch would be 77-78 in 2012.

Lamar Alexander, similarly, a healthy looking man and good Senator, would be 72.

Uh, yeah, I forgot to mention Hatch's age as well. Our oldest VP (Alben Barkley) was 75 when he left office, I believe.

Maybe Scott Brown. There really aren't going to be any more abortion votes in congress for some time so he can always get off the hook there.

He needs to flip-flop in advance, though, and I don't see that happening.

Colin Powell
Mike Reagan
Liz Cheney
Petraeus
Bloomberg
Lieberman
Arlen Spector
The Grinch
Ben Quayle

Powell-Too old. And he's uninterested. Bush wanted him to be VP back in 2000, Powell refused.
Reagan-lol. Too inexperienced and controversial.
Cheney-No. Too inexperienced and controversial.
Petraeus-Good pick, but I think he's going to stay in Afghanistan until after 2012, so that automatically eliminates him.
Bloomberg-Supports abortion.
Lieberman-Supports abortion.
Specter-Supports abortion and way too old.
Gingrich (I don't know why you call him the Grinch)-Too controversial and has too many scandals.
Quayle-lol. No. Too inexperienced and stupid.
