Here's an interview with the mistress. Yikes.

If this thing is legit then forget about the governor's race, I don't see how he can remain senator.

Well, he'd retire or lose in the Republican primary.

He's a big proponent of term limits. He has a bill which sets three terms in the House in two in the Senate as the maximum. What better time to make good on his own idea...

^ It would be interesting to see how much this happens, but Edwards should have enough support that he can afford to have Democrats strategically vote for Vitter in the primary.

What's also kinda sadly ironic is that he had just started to run an ad featuring his wife.

There's rumors Vitter is bullying some news outlets into dropping the story.

^ Edwin Edwards basically did that in 1987. Edwards came in second in the primary, but refused to go into the runoff. Roemer was first place in the primary, so he was elected Governor with 33%.

Two women who knew Vitter's mistress gave interviews and seem to confirm her story.

Holy cow...in a day when the Democratic Party is as dead in the South as cotton farming, we might elect a Democrat in Louisiana! The winds of change are blowing

Louisiana is just a different bowl of gumbo from the rest of the south!

I'm pretty sure its Billy Nungesser. I've heard rumors about him and Vitter sharing a prostitute service. John Young is the only other prominent New Orleans area candidate running statewide, but I'd bet on Nungesser.
