If by some miracle Palin won the nomination, her pick should be a very experienced and very competent Senator.

Her best choices are:
Kay Baily Huchinson
Lamar Alexander
Orrin Hatch
or
Gov Jeb Bush

Hutchison-Pro-abortion. A lot of pro-lifers won't vote.
Alexander-Good pick, but a little on the old side.
Hatch-Mormon
Bush-Toxic due to his last name

Orrin Hatch would be 77-78 in 2012.

Lamar Alexander, similarly, a healthy looking man and good Senator, would be 72.
