i hate to join the chorus on mark warner, but
Senator Mark Warner (VA)
Gov. Ed Rendell (PA)
Gov. Phil Bredesen (TN)
Gov. Brian Schweitzer (MT)

i rule out the following
Gov. Bill Richardson (scandal)
Hillary Clinton (Too old)
Joe Biden possibly (too old)

i don't understand the Warner-mania either, but I'm a staunch republican so i may be biased. i just listed him because everyone else seems to be raving for him. i think warner stayed out of the 2008 election because there was just too many people - about 8 candidates at the start of it. not enough "oxygen" so to speak.
