Chase Oliver, the Libertarian candidate for Senate in Georgia in 2022, is running for the Libertarian presidential nomination.

He was briefly my boyfriend when we were both in high school lol

That rules so much.

He's a nice guy.

I'll be voting for Biden, of course, just as I voted for Warnock for Senate. But that has nothing to do with Chase.

I think I recall your anecdote about that from an earlier thread! Kind of cool honestly, was he a big libertarian back then?

So I don’t remember for sure, but I want to say he was for Nader? That was before either of us could vote though.

I still think Chris Christie might give it a go. On the other hand, he seems pretty set on denying Trump the nomination again, so he might sit it out if the field is too crowded.

I like Suarez, but he surely knows he can't win. I assume this is probably a brand-building campaign that he can try to leverage into a run for Governor down the road.

That or a cabinet position.

Hey, it worked out for Buttigieg. He got a cabinet position and two best selling books out of his run and his city was four times smaller than Miami. Of course Suarez is way less impressive than Pete was at least for the set of voters he needs.
Also the difference is Biden and Buttigieg didn't have irreconcilable differences. Trump is never gonna hire a never-Trumper like Suarez.

Trump once considered Kasich and Romney for cabinet roles.
