Well, its kind of hard to take it slow when it was love at first sight, when sparks are flying everywhere, when we have so much in common, when we spend 6-7 hours a night with each other.  We're taking as it comes naturally, which just happens to be stuck in the high gear.  While we are not officially engaged at this point, we have stopped using the phrase "if we get married".  Now, we are using the phrase "when we get married".  We have both agreed that intimacy will wait for marriage, that we will not live together until we're married.  We won't even sleep in the same house until we're married, and if we have to, it will not be the same bed.  We have both said the only thing that will stop us now is if the Lord comes back for his church before then.  We have both committed that divorce is not and will never be an option.

Shocked  A little quick, no?

Less than 48 hours. Damn.

Yep.  Anyway, BushOK- Believe in yourself with this.  Not the Lord.  Not Jesus.  Not God.  My view when it comes to intimacy is just do what's natural.  No need to discuss it with her.  And slow down on the "if were married" stuff unless she's going along with it very well.  I'm very happy for you man.

WOW, I'd take a step back if I were you.  Marriage is a pretty permanent thing and you're still young.  Maybe dating for a few years first would be more prudent.  This could just be the excitement of a new relationship, which can fade fast and leave a crappy relationship behind.  Live your lives together before you make a lifelong commitment to someone you barely know.

That and you gotta at least hit it once or twice. You know, would you buy a car w/out taking it out for a test drive? Are you buying new or used?

Obviously used considering she already has a child.

Just thought of that after I made my last post.  I think he has to lower his "waiting for marriage" standard or else.. yeah, I'll say it he's setting himself for disappointment.  The fact that his ex set him up also disturbs me.  The woman dumped him for a freaking grandfather.  If it were me, I wouldn't be talking to her much or at all for that matter.  I don't want to be mean to him because God knows I've been in the same position as him before.  It takes a while to realize the best thing is to do what comes natural and to act on it.  I mean the new girl already has a child.  DUH, she definitely likes sex and to me this might not look good already.  I hope BushOK doesn't turn out to be like the 40 Year Old Virgin.  I really do.

Think with your dick when that's easiest, right, Flyers? It's doing wonders for you.

Amazing how I agree with 2 conservative posters yet when I chime in you're right there.  Might as well put in my signature.  "Phil in 5...4...3...2...1"  It's ok, I've come to the point I'm expecting it.

And no about me "thinking with my dick".  My point is women are expecting .. well.. a man.  You would be naive to think sex is not an issue in relationships.  Hard to believe this, but I am not mocking BushOK by any means.  I hate seeing guys fail because it's happened to me a lot regardless of political party, religion, etc.  Not saying he has to do the deed right now or even within the next few months, but eventually this woman will think "sh**t he's a nice guy, but when is he gonna make a frigging move."   Women are as horny as men, they just don't like the broadcast it as much.  She also has a kid.  His ex went for a grandfather probably because she was thinking what I just said.  He should have never had that convo about "waiting for marriage" or "if we get married"..Whoa!  If a woman said that to me, I'd bolt probably as fast as I could run when I was in high school because that would pump my adrenaline so much.

Reality is harsh with relationships.  I know myself I have weight to lose and certain conversation pieces need to be put under wraps (i.e. politics and religion).  My point was you have to have a happy medium- Somewhere at the midpoint between him at current and opebo.

LOL

When did I ever say or hint that it's not an issue?

And that's exactly my problem. Why is that so horrific to you people? You talk about how people aren't supposed to "judge" you and then you say stupid shit like that.

Maybe you ought to tone down that stupid, big, classless, obnoxious, Kenso mouth, too.

You lecture others about being too prudish and then when you're asked why you don't have a girl, you list "committment phobia" as your reason. Ok, so why not focus on that a little more when you dish out your advice? Women like committment, too. Women also don't want to hear the nonsense that you spew about being a "good pussy" or whatever the hell you called it before.

You're a pig, plain and simple. I can't fault you too much though considering where you were brought up.

Wow, I'm a pig?Huh?  sh**t, there's a lot worse out there than I.

And we wonder why our divorce rate is so high...

And I have all my teeth.  I'm not a Kenso. Tongue  Though my dad's family is all from there, but none remain.  And you don't fault me entirely because of my upbringing?  Wow, that's a classy shot Mr. High and Mighty Far Northeast Boy.  Some of the worst drunks/drug addicts I went to college with came from wealthy, Republican homes.
