What district are you in dazzleman?
Christopher Shays, the most endangered Republican incumbent.

I don't know about that. Gerlach had the toughest challenge for an incumbent this past year and his challenger will be back. He better get a better campaign team in 2006/a good amount of money or he might be gone after 2006.

Not only Gerlach, but those two guys in your signature you better say BYE BYE!!!!!

25 vunerable seats doesn't mean 25 vunerable incumbents... a lot of old GOP Congressmen in potentially marginal districts are giving serious thought to retiring.

Same things for the Democrats though.  In PA alone, Kanjorski and Murtha are giving serious thought to retiring.

Other than Holden, you guys are maxed out in PA.

Scranton-Wilkes Barre-Hazleton are solid Dem.  PA 11 also encompasses the ever trending Demcoratic Monroe County.  I know that region well enough.  It will stay Dem unless the Dem is really weak and the Rep is really strong.

If Murtha goes, PA-12 could very easily go Republican.

It was actually gerrymandered to strengthen other GOP areas.

Section 8 is a huge issue in PA 13. You don't know what you just started. Smiley

Section 8 is still a huge issue here.  Thats where the "Im voting for Bobby Ehrlich because..." line comes from.  Whats up with section 8 in PA 13?

You can look at the PA 13 thread (some of the early posts) for some answers. I really don't want to start that up again with Flyers.

By all means go there.  I don't want another Section 8 debate.  We've had MANY!

It is an exceptionally conservative area, especially eastern Westmoreland County.

Socially yes (and not only Westmoreland: IIRC Cambria county, most of which is in the district, is the most Catholic in PA and very high up a U.S list as well) although it's pretty heavily Democratic by registration.
Methinks if the seat opens up, the Democrats better find themselves a Pro Life candidate...

And also an astonishly ugly district:

Pro-life Dems aren't hard to come by in that region.  I think only in a GOP blowout would this seat flip.
