Kennedy's was worse because it was effective.  Kerry's rambles a bit.  Yeah I was shocked by the "multiple regression analysis" bit, too.  He is just unable to communicate, and its obvious when you see the quotes next to each other that Kerry was trying to copy Kennedy, but just fails.
