Had he survived, do you think that he would have been impeached and removed from office for his scandals? Why or why not?

No I don't and what scandals are you talking about? His free market principles led us out of the 1920 depression that's been erased for our school history books.

No I don't and what scandals are you talking about? His free market principles led us out of the 1920 depression that's been erased for our school history books.

Veterans' Bureau Scandal. The head of the agency intended to assist ex-servicmen became embroiled in corrupt practices and served time in federal prison.

Justice Department Scandal. Harding's political mentor and closest advisor headed a corrupt Department of Justice, but twice was acquitted by juries.

Alien Property Custodian Scandal. The head of an important federal oversight agency was imprisoned for corrupt practices.

Teapot Dome Scandal. The Secretary of the Interior was eventually convicted of taking a bribe for questionable leasing of government facilities.

The Teapot Dome Scandal was the largest one, I think. And Harding wasn't free-market--he supported the Fed. That's against free-market principles. And I'm not sure whether Harding's policies led out out of the 1920-1921 recession or whether the economy just naturally recovered.

Scandals were much more accepted and easier hid back then. This all makes him human as none of it put our country in danger of terrorism or socialism though. Or in danger of anything for that matter.
