Hi, Hi, everyone! Smiley As far as Bylaws go, I think we need a Vice Chair and I like Bgwah's idea about endorsements. I'd also probably support a primary. Wink

The problem with a primary system is that it's pretty much impossible to get the results of a primary to stick unless people decide themselves to drop out if they lose.

That's true. Well darn... Wink

I like those ideas, bgwah.

Also, I think creating a "Special Convention" to deal with an issue like changing the rules should be considered. Maybe it would require the petition of X number of members?

Also, we have 5 Senators. Why not to to make one of them Senate Majority Leader? Smiley

While a cool idea, I don't know how necessary that would be for Atlasia.

Is there a list of all of the current Regional Chairs? I'd like to see it. Wink

I think we should decide what offices we even want in the first place before we start writing bylaws for them.

Would anyone object if I just opened voting soon that asked whether or not we should establish a secretary and a whip?

Fine by me.

1) Shall the position of Party Secretary be created?

The Secretary of the Jesus Christ Party shall be tasked with maintaining communication within the party, to ensure that all party members are informed and kept aware of the actions and decisions of the party. He shall be responsible for maintaining a list of all JCP members, and shall assist the Chairman in preparing full agenda for Jesus Christ Party Conventions.

2) Shall the position of Party Whip be created?

The Whip of the Jesus Christ Party shall be tasked with assisting the Chairman in recruiting Atlasians into the party as new members. He shall also be responsible for assisting party candidates with voter contact about elections.

I believe we should take note of what the RPP is doing, and also amend our bylaws to include the Fusion Ballot Reform Act.

Okay, endorsements.  Obviously our party candidates for the top 3, and I think Duke deserves the #4 spot.  For 5th preference, I'm torn between A-Bob and AndrewCT.

Thoughts?

I think Andrew should get the 4th spot, and then give Duke number 5.

I hope you guys know that ME Assembly elections are in September, so you might want to re-do that endorsement later. Grin
