If he wins re-election (ideally with an outright majority of the vote) and maintains decent approvals during his second term, I can definitely see some kind of role for him in the next Democratic administration after Biden’s but can’t guess what this might be. His next term would finish nicely in time for the 2028 race and I can easily see some of the current D governors making moves towards the nationwide stage at that time.
