Every person I've met with a hyphenated last name invariably ends up with the nickname "Hyphen."  Whether that's good or bad is another story.

There are practical considerations: fitting that long mess of a name onto a check, signing forms, having people at the DMV struggle with your name for half an hour...I get that just from having a slightly non-standard yet still relatively easy name.  A hyphenated thing with a lot of syllables would be a mess.

Plus, what if a person with a hyphenated name marries somebody with a hyphenated name Tongue

Today was my first day of school. It was very overwhelming, to be quite honest. I have a couple difficult classes last in the day. My AP US History teacher seems really tough, but hopefully she makes it fun. Smiley That's the class I've been looking forward to.

I start school tomorrow, and I have been looking forward to it. Hopefully my teacher is easy Tongue

Karin (the girl I made that stupid thread about) was in the studio where my art class is, although not in the class itself.  I felt like I might vomit for the first hour of the class, but I stopped giving a derp after a while.  I had already lost all interest in talking to her, before.  It doesn't make sense that I would freak out over her being there.

Helpful tip: Don't try to rationalize emotions.

I've been very bipolar lately (moreso than usual Tongue). In a given day, I swing between apathy, to sunny optimism, to crushing pessimism.

Went to the local parade today. Pretty lame tbh.

Oh, and there are three wildfires in my county, luckily none are near Louisville!
