It seems like in the last half century it has become increasingly common for people with entertainment backgrounds to win in politics - aside from Trump, other examples include Ronald Reagan, Jesse Ventura, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, etc. While it may not be easy to predict when the next such individual will emerge, it should certainly not come as a surprise when that does indeed happen.
(On another note, remember that in the movie Back to the Future, when the ML traveled from 1985 to 1955 and told the SML back in 1955 that Ronald Reagan was the president in 1985, the SML from 1955 ridiculed the idea of an actor becoming president.)
