I called Guest's office the day after to thank him for voting for the Jan. 6 committee. Really I just felt bad for the poor woman answering the phone and wanted to give her a break from the abuse.

I didn't go out and vote in the Republican primary today to save him though. It's not really my job to bail out very right-wing and Trumpy Republicans who are facing challenges from ones who are even further right and Trumpier.

I predict he and Palazzo will ultimately come out on top tonight.

Guest having so much trouble was not something I was expecting. Does he win a runoff?

Probably. Democrats will go bail him out like we did for Thad Cochran 8 years ago. I'll help them.
