Look on the bright side: Once Trump passes Chumpcare...statistically speaking about 30% of that crowd will lose their insurance and the rest will have their rates jump 300% since West Virginia has most to lose out of any other state from an ACA repeal.

There is no bright side. Those people will suffer and die.

I was in scouts for 2 years with a bunch of white suburbanite families (and given that this is Orange County-the vast majority were quite religious and conservative).

I have no recollection of any sort of religious or political undertones. Did the scouts change the last 10 years or something? Why was I not indoctrinated in worshipping Mein Fuhrer President Bush?

Of course the Scouts haven't changed. This is way overblown. Trump grandstanded in a very pro-Trump state and some really enthusiastic Trumpers in the crowd gave a big applause.

Bernie could have gotten the same reaction from a Scout convention held in Vermont.

Fuzzy, I'm not going to try to fight with you my friend but you are mostly wrong. National is a Main Street type but around 70% of the Scouts probably are rabid Trump supporters. I've seen over 400 Trump hats in the past week here.

Yeah, but that is at least influenced by the fact that it's being held in West Virginia. I realize it's a national convention, but most Scout troops aren't that rich, so locals are going to be disproportionately represented.

My Scout troop never even considered going to a national jamboree, but if it had been held in Mississippi we absolutely would have, along with almost every Mississippi troop.
