Mega FF.  America was a third-tier country on the world stage before him, and a first-tier country by the time he was done.

The trust-busting and general concern for the poor are an added bonus.  Plus he was the first to call for universal health care.

He was no more racist than anyone else of his time, aside from Wilson and his ilk. Judging people by modern standards is terrible.

He was actually quite a bit less racist than the norm of the day against both blacks and Asians.  He invited George Washington Carver to the White House, which really sent the racists into a tizzy, and he made sure the San Francisco schools integrated, at least the white and Asian.  Not perfect on racial issues, but much better than most of his contemporaries.
