I don't think any of the other Democrats would handle Vietnam any differently.

That's the problem.

Vietnam policy was a national consensus up to 1967-68. And even by 1968, most Democrats supported it.

That's the problem.

Also if people had followed my suggestion to have Morse run for VP we would have a Democrat who would handle Vietnam differently.
