I'm not very familiar with Neoplatonism. All mentions of it that I come across just mention the One without really giving it any content. That said, my first impression is positive, and I generally have a preference for idealistic philosophies.

Fittingly enough, Plato and Plotinus have the exact same consonants in both French and Italian, with only vowels switched around.

On balance, FF, tho I am not enamored of Neo-Platonism.  As far as Greek philosophy is concerned give me good old-fashioned Aristotelianism.

Plato > Aristotle because ideas > things.
