Anyway, tough one. Italy is where my heart lies, it's the home of my ancestors and of a wonderful people in many ways. I feel no such emotional attachment to France. On the other hand, it is horribly run and plagued by all sorts of social problems of all sorts which don't exist in France. In terms of living standards, France is clearly way ahead. So, it depends.

To be fair some people like a lot of starch - pasta, pizza - but I just don't.  I prefer fat and meat.
