Because God created marriage between a man and a woman for the purposes of procreation.

where does it ever say this in the bible?? ive been unable to find where god says that gays and lesbians arent allowed to marry.

Obviously you haven't been reading your bible to well...or you're blind. Go read Leviticus or Romans some time.

So then should infertile [heterosexual] couples not be allowed to marry?

God is a concept and not a human institution.  (Although he's/she's a human creation, there's a difference)

No, God is the creator of the universe and the almighty.

That is not a fact.  Of course, neither is what I said, but you can't limit marraige to a man and a woman on the basis that god created it that way.

It is a fact and yes you can limit it based on that. Thats my personal belief and the belief of millions in this country. You athiests are just going to have to suck it up and deal with it.

You just contradicted yourself.  At first, you called god's dictation of marraige as between a man and a woman a "fact" and then you called it "a personal belief and the belief of millions..."

It clearly isn't a fact.

You can't believe in facts?

Go tell it to those who follow the Jewish faith. They are bound by those dead laws. It has no relevance to a Christian.

What a pointless thread. Why waste time with this silly theological debate when Inks is clearly determined to hate gays?

Oh, and Option 1.

I don't hate gays--I hate their sin and thinking, but not the person--God hates nobody, so I try my hardest not to.

There might be hope for this guy after all.

I hold the same stance as Inks does which isn't really that extreme of a position.

States generally doesn't actually get involved in discussions.  He waits until they cool down, posts his position in one line, and doesn't bother to reply again. Tongue

Dude, I was just coming back from vacation. I was pretty tired because I had just driven like 7 1/2 hours straight.
