I don't think it's all that fair to say that Nader screwed up the election for Gore.  It's possible that he could have won Florida, had a statewide recount been conducted.  And there's no guarantee that he could have won in other states, had Nader not been on the ballot.

It's also possible that he could have won by a 1992/1996-style margin in the EC if Bill Clinton had campaigned for him.
